With a relaxing weekend ahead, my sister thought, “let’s do a picnic”! Seafood + serene surroundings of a relatively little known area should make for a peaceful afternoon.
Point Loma is a beautiful part of San Diego that is home to a lighthouse with a stunning view, a Nazarene University, tide pools, Rock Church, 5 guys, a naval training center and so much more. It really is a gem of SD. At the NTC park there are such wide expansive fields with such few people on saturdays, future events here for sure.
San Diego’s home of quite a few of these seafood shops and we decided to go to the one closest to the area we’d be picnicking. PLSF has a great assortment of seafood though I have not ventured too much across its expansive menu. My sister and I really like this place and we’ve been back multiple times. Although next time she comes, I’ll bring her to El Pescador and Bluewater to let her compare. A crab sandwich and quart of clam chowder would compliment our home made salad.
Is that a broken fork? It looks unproportional.
I tried El Pescador already! I would say the white clam chowder is about the same at both places, but definitely PLSF for the crab sandwich! El Pescador's has lettuce and tomato that takes up space, which makes PLSF much more generous with its portions of crab. plus the tarter sauce at PLSF is good!
you mean disproportional. duh
